Steering Committee

May Busch is a Senior Advisor for leadership in the Office of the President and Professor of Practice at the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University (ASU) where she helps develop the university’s next generation of leaders among faculty and staff through her roles as co-lead of ASU’s Leadership Academy and its Advanced Leadership Initiative. She is also a founder and co-lead of the ASU SUNlite Coaching Program, which advances the ASU charter by broadening access to coaching for ASU employees to reach their full potential and support others to do the same.

Through her consulting practice, May offers workshops, keynotes, and executive coaching to high-potential and high-performance leaders and their teams with a focus on leadership development, career success and organizational strategy. She is founder and CEO of Career Mastery, the professional growth and success resource for ambitious corporate professionals.

Prior to this, May had a 24-year career in investment banking, most recently as COO of Morgan Stanley Europe. A graduate of Harvard Business School, May is married with three daughters and lives in the UK. 

Dr. Minu Ipe is the Co-founder, Vice Chair and Managing Director of the University Design Institute (UDI) at Arizona State University. At UDI, Dr. Ipe collaborates with higher education leaders to reimagine and redesign universities that socially and economically enrich the communities they serve. With a global portfolio of universities and higher education systems in 24 countries, UDI aims to empower students and societies across the world to reach their potential through the transformative power of education. As an advisor to the president of ASU, Dr. Ipe leads large-scale design initiatives that strengthen ASU’s capacity for purpose-driven innovation. Over 40 projects have resulted in new or redesigned interdisciplinary schools, colleges and other initiatives. Dr Ipe is also the co-founder of three leadership programs that have trained over 600 faculty and staff leaders across the institution.

Punya Mishra is Director of Innovative Learning Futures at Arizona State University’s Learning Engineering Institute and Professor in the Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College. A TED-Ed educator and AERA Fellow he is internationally recognized for his work in educational technology, creativity, and design-based educational innovation. He has received over $11 million in grants, published over 200 articles, and edited 5 books. With over 62,000 citations of his work, he ranks in the top 2% of scientists worldwide, and top 50 scholars influencing educational policy. He previously served as Associate Dean of Scholarship & Innovation and director of doctoral programs (at MLFTC) and directed the award-winning MA in Educational Technology program at Michigan State University. He serves on ASU’s Leadership Academy steering committee, AACTE’s Technology and Innovation Committee, and as editor-in-residence for the Journal of Teacher Education. He is an award-winning instructor, engaging public speaker, podcaster, and accomplished visual artist.

Faye Farmer’s passions are team cohesion and individual development through positive coaching techniques. Faye has over 20 years of experience in higher education and has been supervising professionals since 2010. At the University Design Institute, she leads the enterprise design initiatives practice. This work focuses on supporting educational transformation across Arizona State University (ASU). Faye works in partnership with ASU executive leaders to build inclusive, equitable, co-design spaces that unlock everyone's potential for change. Prior to this position, Faye founded and led two offices dedicated to advancing research excellence in academia.

Evan Olsen serves as Project Coordinator for the University Design Institute (UDI) supporting many of the various initiatives across the Enterprise Design portfolio. Prior to working with UDI, Evan worked in the Office of University Affairs, serving as coordinator to Stuart Hadley, Associate VP, and Deputy Chief of Staff to President Crow. Originally from Wisconsin, he is an Arizona State graduate and an avid supporter of Sun Devil athletics. His passion lies in helping others and making a positive impact in the community. 

Loni Roe is the Project Manager of Leadership Programs for the University Design Institute (UDI). In this role, she is responsible for holistic program management as well as overseeing the day-to-day project management of operations and activities associated with the UDI portfolio of Leadership Programs. Loni draws from her extensive project experience as the former Events Manager, Special Projects/Strategy for the Knowledge Enterprise. Loni's professional journey also includes several valuable years in finance and relationship management at The Vanguard Group, where she also spearheaded professional development initiatives. In her current position, she contributes to the strategic vision of the UDI Leadership Programs.
